Orthodontics: Clear Braces

If all you need is a little cosmetic improvement for a great smile and you would prefer not to have braces, the nearly invisible Red, White and Blue or RW II no-braces system may be the treatment for you. A quick evaluation will tell if you're a candidate for this convenient treatment and, if so, you can have a dazzling new smile in just a few months.

Here's how It Works

What Our Patients Are Saying
If your doctor determines that you are a candidate for the Red, White and Blue or RW II system, an impression of your teeth will be taken and sent to our laboratory where a series of active appliances will be custom-made for you. One, two or three appliances will be made depending on your doctor's analysis of your particular dental alignment. Each appliance will be made of light-weight, plastic-like material in the shape of your arches, using an impression of your teeth. Subtle corrections are incorporated in each appliance to direct your front teeth to a more desirable position.

You will wear each appliance approximately 4 to 6 weeks depending on your doctor's instructions. The nearly invisible appliances are so easy to wear and talk with; few people will even know you have them on. And in just a few months, you will be enjoying your beautiful new smile. Whether you are in school, on the go with your family, a professional in the public eye or active in sports, the Red, White and Blue or RW II system can fit into your busy life.

It's So Convenient

What Our Patients Are Saying
Red, White and Blue and RW II is simple to use. The doctor will provide you with appliances and directions for wearing. For your convenience each appliance has colored dots to aid in seeing the appliances when they're not in your mouth (they're nearly invisible). Each appliance works to coax your teeth to make small incremental movements, each getting you progressively closer to your new smile.

When you begin wearing the appliances, you may experience minor discomfort, but they will soon loosen and become comfortable. The final appliance is designed with all the desired correction and can be worn at night as a long-term appliance. It couldn't be easier.

In some more extreme cases your doctor may suggest a "follow-up" appliance to finish straightening your teeth. This evaluation, in some situations, can be made at the initial treatment evaluation, or at the completion of your initial appliance.
